Nuevos programas!
The Three and a Half Acres Yoga mission is spreading fast this month! In January we have had several new programs kick off and two of them are with Mixteca, and Glasswing International
Supporting Harlem restaurants
We hope this message finds you well during this difficult time. As you know our annual ‘Celebrate Harlem’ gala has been postponed due to COVID-19. However, we want to still celebrate Harlem in a different way by supporting our local Harlem restaurants as we know they have been hit the hardest.
We have big news!
We are calling out to ALL yoga teachers ANYWHERE in the world! We are moving our Trauma Yoga Teacher training online, so now anyone can participate who has access to the internet! We have a few more spots open for registered yoga instructors for our May 2nd-3rd training!
Staying connected
The Three and a Half Acres family is sending lots of love to our friends & supporters. In order to ensure the safety of our teachers and to comply with experts and officials, we are placing our programs on pause.
Our first online training was a success!
This past weekend, Three and a Half Acres added eight new yoga instructors to our team! The training was originally supposed to take place in Washington, D.C. and instead was brought online to our DMV group.
Gala rescheduled
In the interest of our communities, we are postponing our annual Three and a Half Acres Yoga gala, currently scheduled for March 31, 2020. We expect to announce a new Summer date for the gala soon. We look forward to seeing and being with all of you then to support THAY’s mission to foster healthy, mindful, and connected community.
The 6 women you need to meet at the gala.
We would like to take a minute to highlight Women’s History Month and recognize the ways Three and a Half Acres supports women year round. Did you know that THAY’s board members are all POWERFUL women!? These dedicated ladies contribute a wealth of knowledge from their diverse backgrounds in order to make our organization thrive.
Sneak peek at our live performance!
Three and a Half Acres is honored to have Jazz vocalist Candice Hoyes performing at our 7th annual Celebrate Harlem Gala on March 31st!
Candice Hoyes is bound to “shape the modern musician-cum-activist role,” an artist “intentional about making music that reflects the world she lives in, as well as sounding great and grooving.” NPR
Guess who’s back?
We have some exciting news! We are thrilled to announce that our 2019 honoree Ivo Philbert will be back as the host of this years Celebrate Harlem gala!
Ivo is the Vice President, External Relations and Special Projects for the Jackie Robinson Foundation, He is active in our community as a mentor and sits in the board of organizations like Harlem Eat Up, and the CouncilHim Foundation. We can’t wait to have his positivity shining in the room again this year with our other amazing guests of honor.
